Venel is an outstanding French painter of a first order. His themes enchant us.
His colors mesmerize our fantasies. His style intrigues in its elegance and
eloquent complexity. His life is as flamboyant as his allegoric compositions. He
was born on May 8, 1950 in the city of Jerada in Morocco. In 1972, he met
Pierre-Yves Trémois and was introduced to Edouard Mac’Avoy where he began to work
in his atelier until 1978. In 1985 he won the silver medal at Salon des Artistes
Français"
and "Prix du Maire" in Paris Xe.
He exhibited worldwide.
His
paintings are considered as a national treasure. His time is shared by a vivid
creative production, exhibitions and teaching students at his atelier. Students
and accomplished artists come from all over the French and European territories
to study under him.

Aime Venel has been elected by the World Art Celebrities Journal Member of the Internet Man Artist World Hall of Fame for April 2003. Most certainly, he deserves this honor. It was a wonderful journey visiting with Maitre Venel, a great artist I respect and admire.
